Sovata is a holiday resort that lies in the centre of Transylvania, at the foot of the Ghurghiu Mountains, in a height of 500 m.
There are many salt lakes and ponds which have therapeutical effects.
The biggest lake from Sovata is Lake Bear (Lacul Ursu/ Medve-tó), a salty helio-thermal lake (heated by sunlight).

The "Vasskert" Camping is in the centre of the town, near the creek and the forest, at 4 km distance from the Lake Bear.
There are 8 wooden houses in the territory of the camping.
