Lunca de Jos lies at 39 km east from Miercurea-Ciuc.
It is delimited by the valleys of the Boros and Recea creeks.
Is a community centre and a holiday resort with medicinal baths in the Întunecoasa valley.
Every year, in the last week of July there is organized a folk-dance camp of Ghimes.

The Csángó Pension is in the centre of Lunca de Jos, situated among the Ciucului Mountains, near the national road Miercurea Ciuc-Faget, in the valley of the Rece river.
