Harghita Madaras is the highest peak of the Harghita Mountains, it has 1801 m, and there is a ski resort with a beautiful prospect over the envinrons.
When the weather is fine you can admire the peaks of the the Eastern Carpathians and the Transylvanian Plateau.
The settlement can be accessed by car, and in winter by jeep.
There are 3-4 ski-courses with different difficulty level that offers excellent skiing possibilities (4-5 months in winter).
In summer you can go hiking, you can organize excursions or you can climb mountains. The fresh air, the peaceful pine-forests, the gurgling mountain-creeks offer you a proper ambience for relaxation and recreation.
