Corund lies in a place of a rare beauty, in a picturesque landscape, and it is one of the oldest settlements of the region.
Once it was the home of fairies between the Firtos and Tartod mountains.
The settlement is situated in a captivating ambience among creeks, mineral waters, forests, farms, that offer many programs for the tourists.

Traditional ceramics
The name of Corund is inseparable of popular ceramics, being one of the popular pottery centre from Transylvania. The artisan articles exposed in the front of the houses attract many tourists. They can choose from among beautiful ceramics, objects made of straw or cornhusk, wool, timber and wood.

Precious stones
The old descriptions mention the admirable sediments of the salted springs from "Rakodóhegy", of which sediment, the aragonite can be found even these days.

The Solomal Holiday Chalet is situated in the central area of Corund, town famous for its folk pottery and straw handicrafts.
The comfort of the chalet is ensured by the marvelous view one’s have of the Firtos Mountain, 1056 meters high mountain, from the covered terrace of the Pension, by the bright two bedded rooms, by the fully equipped kitchen, the bathrooms, fireplaces and TV sets.
