Ciumani lies in a height of 745-770 m above sea-level, at 9 km west from Gheorgheni, along DJ 126.
The landscape is dominated by the volcanic Amza peak (1695 m) and the crater of the Sumuleu-Mare mountain of 4 km diameter.
There are 10 mineral water springs.
The Roman-catholic Church constructed in neogothic style between 1875-1878 and it is dedicated to the apostles Saint Peter and Paul.

The Szekely Pension is situated in the heart of Transylvania, in Ciumani.
The guest house has 14 comfortable two-, three-or four-bedded rooms, each dotted with bathroom and color TV.
In the pension’s restaurant one can choose traditional secler dishes, or other cuisines specialties as well.
The restaurant is always the best choice, for a business lunch, a romantic dinner or for a private event.
